Answers:

1. David Leslie's rank is Lieutenant General - Lovetennent Generall (line 1), Generall Lovetennent (line 4).
2. The minister chosen was Mr Robert Traill.
3. To address the resulting vacancy, the Assembly commanded that l[ette]res be writtin to the Presbyterie of St Andrew's, to supply his place during his absence.

viz Mr William Dalgleisch, Mr Robert Ker and Mr Robert
Traill, The Com[m]ission appoynts the s[ai]d Mr Robert Traill
personallie present, To repare to the s[ai]d Mr Generall Lovetennent
with diligence, for performing ministeriall dueties to him, And
that l[ette]res be writtin to the Presbyterie of St Andrew's, to supply
his place during his absence.
