In this week's poser, taken from the Book of Rates within the Exchequer Records, c1669, we asked you to identify which items have a duty of more than 1l~ (one pound).

Extract from the Book of Rates within the Exchequer Records (National Records of Scotland, E76/6/41).

Answer: Items with a duty of more than 1l~ are: rabbit (or coney) skins, deer skins (doe and roe/hart and hind); goat and kid skins;
