This week's poser is the second part taken from articles of agreement between English and Scottish commissioners for the suppression of disorder on the Borders in 1597 (National Records of Scotland, SP6/62, page 4).

This particular clause deals with Border residents with no feudal superior (broken bord[our]aris - line 2).

The handwriting is fairly clear and the writer is consistent in the way he forms letters. Watch out for abbreviations, phonetic spellings and interference.
